June 2007
Three out of contract players, plus a loan signing, have left Wolves with four more being made available for transfer. Craig Davies has ended his season long loan spell from Verona whilst striker Carl Cort, midfielder Rohan Ricketts and long serving goalkeeper Michael Oakes after (8 years at WOlves) are now all free agents.
Denes Rosa, Jamie Clapham, Jemal Johnson and Tomasz Frankowski are all on the transfer list.
Hungarian midfielder Rosa signed a three-year deal last summer but failed to win a place in the side under new manager Mick McCarthy. He made just one appearance this term, in the League Cup, and spent a month on loan at Cheltenham.
Defender Clapham was one of the boss' early signings, arriving at Wolves on a free from Birmingham, just before the start of the 2006/07 campaign. He made 28 appearances (five as sub).
Johnson was another McCarthy capture, for an undisclosed fee from Blackburn. However, after 24 appearances (10 as sub), he was sent out on loan to Leeds.
Frankowski, who is contracted to Wolves until summer 2008, spent the whole of 2006/07 on loan to Tenerife.
Also coming to the end of their contracts are Lewis Gobern and Kevin O'Connor. Gobern has been offered a new two year deal, which he accepted28th June, whilst the club has a 12 month extension option on O'Connor which will be exercised. Yesterday it was announced that Jackie McNamara had left Wolves.

4 players were not offered new contracts - Maurice Ross, Darren Anderton, Stefan Postma, and Vio Ganea. After another abortive comeback attempt, fans’ favourite George Ndah decided to retire. Colin Cameron, after being told by Hoddle to find another club, then brought back when we ran out of midfielders and starred in the run-in, and then offered a contract (how good one wonders!) understandably chose a two year deal with Mickey Adams at Coventry. “Mickey” follows Kenny Miller (Free to Celtic) and Joleon Lescott (£2m plus deal with Everton) out of the club.
Denes Rosa, the Hungarian midfielder, signed a two year extension from his 6 month deal.

Michael Oakes’ performance after taking over the goalkeeping position from Paul Jones has been rewarded with a new two year contract - details here.
Rohan Ricketts who spent the last few months on loan from Spurs and who was released without taking up their one-year option has agreed to sign a two year contract (with a year’s option) for Wolves. This will be a very popular signing given the impact he made, especially in the Reading match (shown here), scoring the winner with a run from the half way line. Rohan’s comments here
